We appreciate the support from everyone who has participated and those that plan to. We apologize for the delay but while we should sell enough to have the drawing, it will not happen on December 31st. We have rescheduled the drawing for January 23, 2009. The last day to buy tickets is January 21, 2009. This has been much more involved that we originally anticipated and we appreciate your patience. It has been quite a learning experience and if we do this again it should not take as long and it will run much smoother.

The official rules state that we have the option of cancelling the raffle if less than 31,500 tickets are sold, but we have decided that we will not exercise that option if we sell at least 27,000 tickets! So when we sell 27,000 tickets we will definitely have the drawing. Your odds are now even better! The numbers above show that we are getting close! We have now had over 120,000 visitors to our website and over 100,000 have bookmarked it, so the word is out and thousands are interested, so we should sell out it is just a matter of when! Raffle Reminder

To make planning the drawing easier we're now offering a Raffle Reminder feaure. If you are waiting to buy your tickets please leave your name, e-mail address and the number of tickets that you are planning on purchasing and we will e-mail you prior to the drawing so that you can be assured that the drawing will happen and you won't get left out. This will not obligate you to purchase tickets but it will help us get a count of how many tickets sales to expect.

We Care and Friends, an Annapolis based charity that provides funding for long-term drug and alcohol rehabilitation, is raffling off the home located at 1 Poplar Point Rd in Edgewater, Maryland.

The Grand Prize is a 6000 sq/ft custom home with 6 bedrooms, 4 ½ baths and 2 kitchens on a level, grassy 2 acre parcel just outside of Annapolis, MD and a short drive from Baltimore and Washington, DC. Situated just minutes from Routes 97 and 50 the house is a blend of the old and the new.

The original structure is a log cabin built circa 1840, known as "the Caretakers House" or the "Alexander Randall House", that was home to the caretaker of the farm located between Church Creek and Gingerville Cove. The quality craftsmanship is evident in the square cut timbers and dovetailed corners and has been showcased in the newly renovated interior.

The larger addition measures nearly 4400 sq/ft over three levels. It is constructed of highly energy efficient insulated concrete and appointed with all of the modern amenities; a gourmet kitchen with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances including 48" range, wall oven, built-in coffee maker, 2 dishwashers, a large island and large country sink. The home is served by both radiant floor heat and a 3 zone HVAC system. The living room, kitchen, dining room, office and exercise rooms all have hardwood floors, while the bedroom floors are covered with Berber carpet, and the bathrooms all have either ceramic or natural stone tile.
